Crushers GC, Led By Bryson DeChambeau, Captures 2023 LIV Golf Title

Crushers Golf Club, led by Bryson Dechambeau, captured the 2023 LIV Golf title yesterday at Trump National Doral in Miami.

Crushers GC captured $14 million for the first, as the team, comprised of DeChambeau, Anirban Lahiri, Paul Casey, and Charles Howell III, outlasted Bubba Watson’s Range Goats.

DeChambeau led the Crushers all year and made an example by taking home two individual titles during the season.

But yesterday’s preformance was also solidified by Lahiri’s bogey-free round, while Casey and Howell III pushed the team to two strokes better than the Range Goats.

DeChambeau said this year was refreshing and helped get rid of feelings of regret from 2022:

“Last year really left a sour taste in our mouth. I can’t be happier with this team of mine. I don’t know what else to say. I’m at a loss of words right now.…These guys are the best.”

DeChambeau left the PGA Tour for LIV and has evidently been a better player because of it. Not only has Bryson become a true leader of three other guys, but he’s emerged as one of LIV’s strongest performers after injuries put his dominance into question during his final year on Tour.

This year has been strong for DeChambeau as his performance at the PGA Championship helped him capture a tie for 4th, but being cut from the Masters and finishing T60 at The Open Championship seemed to outweight the U.S. Open Top 20 and Top 5 at the PGA.

Nevertheless, DeChambeau has a renewed sense of competition, it seems, and it has cultivated in Crushers GC landing a monumental team title during LIV Golf’s second season.
