The four quarterbacks who played in the NFC and AFC championship games in January 2021 meet again this week, but this time, it’s on the links for the nationally televised “The Match 6” from the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on TNT.
This will be the first version of the event that doesn’t feature at least one golf pro, as it will be Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers against Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Brady and Rodgers, who have both played in this event before, are the betting favorites at -160, while Mahomes and Allen are +140. The event will be contested in match play format over 12 holes.
Rodgers, possessing a 5 handicap, is the lowest of each of the four competitors. His putter was on fire last summer when he and Bryson DeChambeau defeated Brady and Phil Mickelson.

Brady is an 8 handicap and has been good from mid-range in these events, but he’s also 0-2, and you know the seven-time Super Bowl champ’s competitive drive will do everything that he can to not drop to 0-3. Allen played in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and Mahomes won an event at the Wynn earlier this spring with Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce.
As for a pick, the underdog has won three of the previous five editions of The Match, and with no pro golfers on either side, it’s tough to predict how things will go. Due to Mahomes’ success on this course and also getting decent value at +140, we are backing the new guard on Wednesday.
