BREAKING: PXG Debuts 0311 X GEN4 Driving Irons

Love them or despise them, there is no questioning that PXG’s irons are legitimate performers.  Indeed, PXG was the purveyor of goo-filled irons that generated supersonic ball speeds for golfers of all skill levels.

As a result, the new PXG 0311X GEN4 Driving Iron should be on the short list for anyone considering a Stinger Launcher.

True to PXG’s design philosophy, the 0311X GEN4 Driving Iron starts with a piece of five times forged piece of soft 8620 carbon steel.  The multi-forging process ensures the tightest grain structure, structural rigidity, and construction consistency.  The forged steel block is then CNC milled for absolute precision into the back of the club head that features PXG’s signature rear weights, including the GEN4’s center-positioned interchangeable weight, which allows a custom fitter to dial in head weight.

Once the body is CNC milled, the HT1770 stainless steel, ultra-thin face is plasma welded on to complete the club head.  But to make sure the GEN4 has a solid feel, PXG fills the hollow cavity with its proprietary polymer filing, XCOR.  This is PXG’s secret sauce that OEMs like TaylorMade and Callaway have tried to replicate. XCOR is unique in that it is very soft and capable of soaking up excessive vibrations to improve sound and feel, but does not impede or restrict the face from flexing, so distance is not sacrificed.

With PXG’s Precision Weight Technology, fitter can swap in and out different weights in 2-gram Increments to adjust the overall head weight for personalized performance

The 0311X GEN4 Driving Iron is available in Right and Left hand models, in Chrome or Xtreme Dark (black) DLC finishes, and can be paired with Steel (True Temper Elevate) and Graphite (Accra iSeries, AeroTech SteelFiber, Aldila NVS Orange Hybrid, Fujikura Pro, KBS Max Graphite and TGI, Mitsubishi MMT, Tensei Blue and Red, Project X Cypher and Riptide, and Graphite Design Tour AD IZ) shafts for just $275; NO PXG luxury tax here.
