If you’re anything like me, you’ve definitely tried to check out a few holes in some major golf events while you have some downtime at work. And apparently, one of our Congressmen also likes to check in while he’s at work.

For those who don’t follow our crazy political events, Congress is currently meeting to talk about potentially impeaching President Trump. Before anything like that happens, however, the House Judiciary Committee has to debate and vote on articles of impeachment. Well, one of the lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you see it) people that gets to vote on this committee is Congressman Cedric Richmond but he had something else on his mind.

The hearings and debates have been widely televised and during one of the televised sessions for the House Judiciary Committee late Thursday night, spectators caught a glimpse of the Congressman watching something on his laptop. And upon further inspection, you can clearly see that Congressman Richmond is watching the Presidents Cup during the session.

Now, this is obviously pretty unethical for an elected official but in his defense, the committee did not end up voting on articles of impeachment Thursday night so he really wasn’t missing much. And how can we blame Congressman Richmond for checking in on the tournament? The event was a nail-biter and this is the U.S. team playing after all.
