If you watched golf in the early part of the 2019 PGA season you noticed something a little different with Brooks Koepka.
He was looking leaner than usual. We would come to find out that he was going to be posing in the Espn Body issue.

Koepka finished the 2018 season with two majors, and he is currently the number one player in the world. What better way to show off your golf dominance than posing naked on the cover of ESPN right?
Koepka said “I thought it’d be so cool. I’m in the best shape of my life probably right now. And I’m excited about it”.
When news first came out that Brooks was going to do this and the tour saw his weight loss, Brandel Chamblee of the golf channel said “For him to change his body for a vanity shoot is the most reckless self -sabotage that I have ever seen of an athlete in his prime”

Brooks didn’t ignore his comments and delivered a 63 on the opening round of the 2019 PGA Championship showing that regardless of his physical appearance, there was no skill lost in his preparation for his cover shoot.
Brandel Chamblee, Frank Nobilo, and David Duval react to Brooks Koepka’s record-setting 63 on Thursday at the PGA Championship.

Physical fitness has been the center of many hall of fame players and this current crop of tour talent is no difference. Some of the greatest talents the tour has ever seen have risked it all to show off their form, beyond their golf swing.

Ok, so maybe not all hall of fame talent has peak physical fitness to the naked eye. In Brooks case, he has as many regrets posing for the ESPN Body issue as his girlfriend Jenna Sims has about her wardrobe choices.
