California Freshman Cross Country runner Marissa Williams sat down with CalBears.com to talk about how she got into running and how that path ultimately led her to Berkeley. As someone who didn’t begin competitive running until her freshman year of high school, Williams has seen great success as a prep runner – three consecutive City Sectional Division 1 cross country championships and a track career that saw her become the first female to win three distance events at the City Section Track championships.
