This week’s Thursday Night Football matchup pitting the Tennessee Titans against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field is perhaps the worst prime-time matchup in history. The Week 16 contest, the final Thursday night game of the season, features two teams with identical 2-11 records playing only for pride and to avoid finishing in the AFC South cellar.
Despite the less-than marquee billing, tonight’s game is important for the Jaguars. Jacksonville must finish this rebuilding year strong in order to prove to a long-suffering fanbase that there is legitimate hope for a return to contention next season for head coach Gus Bradley‘s squad.
