Giant’s Causeway

Legend has it that a Scottish giant challenged an Irish giant to a duel and that the Irish giant craved out this amphitheatre to house the battle, whether you prefer science or myth is irrelevant however, one thing that everyone can agree on is the incredible scenery of Giant’s Causeway. The columns of the causeway provided the image for Led Zeppelin’s ‘Houses of the Holy’ album which gave the area a real boost in terms of tourism. The visitor centre at Giant’s Causeway received a huge cash injection in 2009 and in 2012 opened the doors of it’s brand new and very modern visitor centre which teaches about the origins, the legend and the conservation of nature’s incredible sculpture.

Lake District

In what many people consider to be the jewel in England’s crown, it’s Lake District in the North West of the country is a huge national park that comprises of a mountain range, several areas of outstanding beauty and plenty of lakes.
