Chelsea qualified for the round of 16 as they beat Rennes 2-1 last night. They currently sit at the top of their group as Frank Lampard’s men look dominant in the Champions League. Rennes had equalised with 5 minutes left to go, but Olivier Giroud came up big for Chelsea as he scored the winner. Lampard on Giroud’s importance: Callum Hudson-Odoi opened the scoring via a wonderful Mason Mount assist. Chelsea dominated for most of the game, with Edouard Mendy saving them many times. Giroud has been linked to a transfer in January, as Lampard hopes to hold onto him.…
