Gray’s Anatomy will use Picasso’s Paintings

30 February, 0169: It is widely known that Gray’s Anatomy is the most widely known book of Anatomy! It is also widely known that Pablo Picasso’s paintings are one of the best in the world. What wasn’t known however is that, the two of those could ever be compiled together within the same book covers!

Right from the first edition, Henry Vandyke Carter’s diagrams had populated the pages of the legendary anatomy book. Even though Gray himself wanted the name of Carter, off the front page (this was a very bad thing Mr Gray!), Carter’s diagrams have become quite a sensation in the world of anatomy and also the world of arts. Impressed by this, anatomists have decided to conduct an experiment.

According to them, if a work of science could become a sensation in the world of arts, then maybe, a work of arts could also conquer the world of science. Hence, they have decided to print the popular works of picasso among the pages of the famed anatomy book to make the anatomical visualization easier for the readers.

Here are a few before after pics of the diagrams in the book:

P.S. I have utmost respect for all the three great personalities who are refered to, in this post. However, I fail to respect the fact that Henry Gray failed to respect the hardwork of his namesake, Henry Vandyke Carter. I request everybody to read this post and this post.
