Hi all!

I’m one of the editors of this great site and I finally finished my first Horror novel!

Because so many of you are familiar with my writing (and clearly have excellent taste or you wouldn’t be here), I was wondering if you’d look at my pitch I wrote and give me some notes before I send this thing to every publisher I can find on google.

Oh, I’m also attaching the cover because I just got it back and I am PSYCHED about it. I am not really looking for notes on the cover (paid the artist A LOT but he nailed it lol) but I think it helps sell the tone I’m going for. It’s pretty dark. A family (husband and daughter) watching in horror as a monster (you might recognize him ;)) attacks their mother/wife. Really twisted stuff. So anyways, any notes you have on how to make this blurb scarier, more sellable, etc. would be appreciated!

The Petersen family wanted nothing more than to have their annual family camping trip in peace, and for a while, it looked like they would be getting their wish. That is, until something else that lives in the woods around the Ridgeland Camping Park began to track them. With his wife feeling more distant every day, and his daughter unable to see him as a man or father figure, Jack Petersen was far too distracted to notice. Now, with their camping trip reaching its climax and strange sounds coming every night, the question must be asked: Is the creature that was only tracking, now hunting?
