New York( CNN Business) YouTube was forced to disable statements on a livestream of a House Judiciary hearing on hate crimes and grey patriotism on social media Tuesday morning after it was submerge prejudiced and anti-Semitic mentions.
“Due to the presence of hateful commentaries, we disabled remarks on the livestream of today’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, ” a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement. “Hate speech has no place on YouTube, ” they contributed.
The hearing includes representatives from Facebook and Google, who are appearing alongside civil rights activists, the father-god of two victims of an Islamophobic attack and a pre-eminent right-wing activist.
