If a recent questionnaire is anything to go by, gathering affiliation might disclose more about you than merely your politics- it might say something about your sex fantasies.

Justin Lehmiller is an assistant professor of social psychology at Ball State University, Indiana. For his latest volume, he requested 4,175 adults from California to South Carolina, what turns you on? Volunteers were asked to confess how often they imagined about some people, regions, and thoughts, from masochism to Barack Obama.

So, what did he find? While people from all political exhortations reported fantasizing several times a week, self-identified Republicans get down on themes encircling infidelity whereas self-identified Democrats wish BDSM.

Though these delusions may appear to be hugely different, the “underlying processes” may, in fact, be the very same, Lehmiller says. That is because both are driven by events private individuals can’t( or shouldn’t) have- mostly, they are things each party considers taboo.

Kennedy, Bill Clinton, and Nikki Haley earned second, third, and fourth place for Republican, while Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton came second, third, and fourth target for Democrats.

It’s not just sex illusions that separates the two sides of the alley.
