Wonder Woman injected some much needed life into the DC Comics film universe, standing in triumph at the box office this weekend and soaking up critical praise. It’s even earning some praise from the competition and possibly setting up a future fantasy showdown, courtesy of Chris Hemsworth.

Gal Gadot sat for an interview with Katie Couric and Yahoo News about the new release and ended up getting hit with a question about a potential battle between Wonder Woman and Marvel’s Thor. It wouldn’t be the first time the two have squared off in the fictional realm, with both taking part in the JLA/Avengers crossover in 2004 and Wonder Woman even using Thor’s hammer during the DC Versus Marvel event from the late ’90s. They’ve never faced off on the big screen, though, and won’t thanks to the legal hurdles — at least until Disney finally purchases all media.

So Gadot feels that Wonder Woman would win in this fight, something that’s not hard to recognize given what she’s accomplished during her two moments on the big screen. That might be why Hemsworth responds to say Wonder Woman would kick Thor’s ass without hesitation.

Past that, let’s just toss in an entire Asgard/Themyscira war and see what happens. Two branches of myth essentially battling against each other for the hearts of geeks everywhere.

The Hemsworth response pleases Gadot, who responds that the two should “collide worlds” at some point in the future.

Maybe one day we’ll actually get this massive crossover event with both companies, the X-Men, Deadpool, and maybe even the kids from Archie or something. They can all fight against each other and Stan Lee can make a cameo as the guy who runs the ice cream parlor all of the Riverdale gang hangs out at. It can be the final show before Hollywood shuns comic book movies forever.
