On Saturday evening, the London Metropolitan Police Service responded to what the BBC is calling a “major incident” on London Bridge. This CNN clip features an eyewitness, Mark Roberts, who reports a van that appeared to target a group of pedestrians outside a pub. Details are scarce at this time, but Roberts witnessed multiple victims, who were not moving, on the ground. Roberts also says that one person was thrown “about 20 feet into the air” by the van, which was moving a high rate of speed. Roberts states that he heard what may have been gunfire, although those details have not been confirmed.

A live CNN television report also indicates that up to two people may have also been stabbed near the scene (at a restaurant in Borough Market), although it’s not known whether this incident is separate or related to the collision.

Eyewitness Pieri Kaine posted video footage of initial chaos as police secured the area and cleared hundreds of people from the scene.
