John Stamos Celebrates Bob Saget On 68th Heavenly Birthday With ‘Full House’ Reunion Pic

This January marks two years since the passing of Bob Saget, and on the Full House actor’s heavenly birthday, John Stamos is celebrating his memory. In honor of the occasion, Stamos shared a reunion photo featuring much of the cast of Full House, including the rarely-seen Olsen twins.

From 1987 to 1995, Saget and Stamos starred as Danny Tanner and Jesse Katsopolis on Full House, roles they reprised for Netflix’s Fuller House, though they were not joined by their TV daughters Marie Kate and Ashley Olsen, who both played Michelle. However, the majority of the main cast was present for a bittersweet reunion photo not long after Saget unexpectedly suffered a head injury hours after performing on stage.

This was taken as we gathered for his funeral. Though Bob wasn’t there physically, his spirit was unmistakably present, wrapping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears.” The black and white picture shows the TV family gathered together around a Dumbo ride, smiling and leaning against one another in a gesture of solidarity and support.

That day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he nurtured among us.
Bob was the heart of our “Full House” family. His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me, (on Dumbo) in the gentle ways we supported one another, echoing the love he always extended. We celebrated a life that was a true gift to us all

In his post, Stamos says that Saget is “with us in every joke we share and every hug we give” and bids for his “dear friend” to rest easy, adding, “Your family misses you more than words can say.”

Through the majority of their time together, Saget and Stamos were known as a devoted duo of friends. However, at first, they did not get along, though the source of their light “feud” was as cute as it gets.

“During photoshoots or promos for the show, Bob and I often jockey to be the one holding Michelle,” Stamos revealed in his memoir If You Would Have Told Me. “We argue over who should be in the center or do single photos with Mary-Kate or Ashley.”

He went on, “Bob and I are carrying on with our pettiness at a shoot with renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. She’s had enough and kicks everyone off the set but me and Mary-Kate.” Saget wasn’t happy to have missed such an opportunity and Stamos rubbed salt in the wound by gloating. “I jokingly suggested to Bob that he take off his shirt, grab a binky, and come cuddle with me in the blankie.”
