After recovering from a health scare in June, Madonna is back to her groovy self as she was spotted having fun at her son’s birthday event. The blowout party took place at The Fleur Room in New York City, where the party started with a dinner and then transitioned into a wild dance party.
The “Material Girl” singer posted a video of herself dancing with two women and grinding on her boyfriend, Joshua, to her Instagram page. “Happy 18th Birthday David Banda! Tribal Name— Senzangakhona, Descendant of the Ngoni Tribe.!” she captioned the photo.

Fans went berserk with excitement in the comments, praising Madonna for having such fun despite aging. “One thing about Madonna is no matter how old she is, she still party like she is 20 years old, and I love it,” a fan wrote with a heart emoji.

Madonna wore a black mini-blazer dress for the party and accessorized with a silver necklace, fishnet stockings, and knee-high boots. She also carried a handbag with the word “THIEF” boldly written, matching it with a pair of silver stoned shades to complete the look. Madonna hit the dance floor to gyrate between a woman in a revealing slit dress and another with her nipples out. At some point, she moved to her boyfriend and started to grind on him.
The birthday boy, Banda, blew out the candles on his cake and enjoyed the fun with the guests and his younger siblings, who took turns at the DJ deck. However, his older siblings, Ricco and Lourdes, were absent from the party as they were at the Paris Fashion Week.
She adopted Banda from Malawi
Madonna adopted her son from Lilongwe, Malawi, in 2006 while on a humanitarian trip with her ex-husband Guy Richie. “It is impossible to believe that almost 18 years have passed since We met you in Mchinji at Home of Hope Orphanage! Your name means ‘speak the truth!’” she continued in her caption.
Back in 2019, the Queen of Pop told British Vogue that of all her children, Banda ‘gets her.’ “He has more of my DNA than any of my children so far,” she told the outlet. Fans could not help but notice the beautiful bond they shared from the birthday videos on Sunday. “The way he smiles and toasts his mum at the end, adorable,” someone quipped.
