What Planet?

Can we talk about this thing for a minute? How we’re destroying the Planet.

I watch all of these documentaries on Netflix and in general about how much Plastic is in the world, how aquatic life is rapidly deteriorating, how the layers of ice in the arctic regions are becoming thinner each year.

And then I sit there on my couch thinking… I’m going to change the world. I’m going to do something about this.

But let’s get real, I’m not even going to make an impact.

I also start thinking about how many products I use that are made of plastic. And what, I’m supposed to be one of those crazy hippies who only uses Paper Products and turns vegan? But those paper products are the result of a dying tree. So there’s no winning there.

Not to mention the fact that we live in this wanting society.

I know a lot of people make fun of me because my phone is outdated and a lot of things I have aren’t necessarily high tech (besides my computer). But I also don’t think these people who obsess over these new phones, new computers, new everything ever think about where their old junk goes.

I also bet that these people have ever seen a landfill or even thought about how much trash is in every garbage truck every week. Where do you think that shit goes?

Once we produce so much trash that there’s not enough room to live, where do you think we’re going to put everything?

We’ll either be instinct as a species or we’ll have to find another planet because we’re monsters and trashed Earth.

Why do you think we’re even exploring living on Mars?

One day, we’ll go to Mars and life off of who knows what… when we could have just used a little less shampoo in our hair or car pooled a little more often.
