“Make friends with the kids who color outside the lines.” That’s what one Mother told her child recently, a child attending school for the first time. Why? Individuality!
That mother knows that those who “color outside the lines” are likely more imaginative, more self-assured, and way more interesting than those who never cross boundaries.
This mother is telling her child: “Be who you are! Explore! Let curiosity guide your coloring, and your life.” All that, she implies with one simple directive: “Make friends with the kids who color outside the lines.”
BUT, there could be consequences! Lol.
