Today I bring you the astonishing story of the great Diamond hoax!
Our story begins sometime in the fall of 1871. Two dirty, trail-worn prospectors walked into the Bank of California carrying a small leather sack. The two men, Philip Arnold and John Slack were two poorly educated cousins from Kentucky. They claimed that the contents of the sack were valuable at they were looking for a safe place to store it.
