In 1957, a series of short films were made called The Book of Acts Series. Each episode was about 18 minutes long. It was a 10-part series that dramatizes the Acts of the Apostles. They were made on a very low budget. In one episode called “What Must I Do to Be Saved?”, in which Paul and Silas are thrown into prison in Macedonia. After an Earthquake, a jailer is going to kill himself but instead asked the question, “What must I do to be saved?” Of course, he gets the answer from Paul.
The jailer was played by Coleman Francis. It’s a fairly sizable role and it is good to see Coleman smiling!
Coleman wasn’t a bad actor! Too bad, it can’t be said for his filmmaking abilities
