This is the Story of a young, pretty woman in the latter half of the nineteenth century who oddly had no desire to get married, have kids, or run a household. She wanted to have a career of her own and have the same opportunities only given to men. She became a pioneering reform-minded journalist, exposing many injustices and corruption in American Society. She a muckraker who did many amazing things, including a journey around the world. Born Elizabeth Jane Cochran, most know her as Nellie Bly and today I have part one of her story on the 211th of Sunday Morning Coffee with Jeff.
