Hugo Chávez Diaries Reveal Decades Long Infatuation with Joyce Dewitt

CARACAS – Excerpts from recently discovered diaries of the former president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, were released to the public yesterday by the Venezuelan Museum of Anti-Imperialism. The diaries were discovered in August of 2017 in a locked box in the basement of a vacation home in Cuba that was purchased by Chávez, Michael Moore and Sean Penn in 2005. The discovery reveals the painful 20 year obsession Chávez had with American actress, Joyce Dewitt. Best known for her portrayal of Janet Wood in the 70’s hit TV show, Three’s Company, Miss Dewitt confirmed she received letters from Hugo Chávez for years but was not aware he was the president of Venezuela. Those close to Chávez claim he became smitten with Joyce Dewitt when he visited Iran in 1994 to observe a torture session. A political detainee whose testicles were attached by wires to a generator offered Chávez his Three’s Company video tape collection in an effort to end his suffering. After Chávez accepted the videos the Iranians continued electrocuting the prisoner anyway.
