There is a good update for DD Freedish watchers as now these TV channels will be available in Mpeg-4 from MPEG-2 technology. We will understand it in this way -

If your set-top box is not receiving Mhrd TV channels even after doing Auto Scan or Blind Scan, then it is possible that you are still using a MPEG-2 set-top box. So now you will need to upgrade your set-top box. You must ask about MPEG-4 set-top boxes in the market, or search online. Most of the MPEG-4 boxes available in the market are available in HD only. So you can get MPEG-4 authorized by Prasar Bharati or MPEG-4 HD free-to-air box.

Currently, these 34 MHRD Educational TV Channels may not be available on DD Freedish but you will get them continuously from 7th June.
