Ah, College. Where do I even start with this? College isn’t only stressful, it’s sometimes crazy. Back in highschool, you could miss a week of school and still make all A’s. Here, if you zone out for 30 seconds, your grade goes from a A to a G. Don’t fight me on this, it’s a proven fact.

Now, I’m a second semester freshman and I live about an hour away from campus. (I do enjoy the drive, no one can tell me to stop singing so loud.) I go to a small community college, and my major is general social sciences. This probably means I’m going into the psychology field, however with my indecisive, 19 year-old self, I might change to English Literature.

Now that I’ve given you some background on myself, let me get to the real point of this post. I am angry. Why? Because the exams are too hard, the speeches freak me out, I have homework due any day now that I refuse to acknowledge, and I’m Tired all the time. Like no exaggeration, I am tired 100% of the time. I feel like I haven’t slept in weeks. I could probably get through this chapter in my life, and be glad that I’m not working at Mcdonald’s selling nuggets, but it’s just so exhausting. Like all I want to do is be a stay at home mom and cook all day. But no, the confusing life and destiny of Young Goodman Brown needs an essay, Edgar Allen Poe’s “Tell Tale Heart” demands to be read and analyzed, and the conflicts of government and presidential imperialism needs to be acknowledged. Why? I have no idea.  Pray for me.

I cannot even begin to explain how exhausted I am as of lately. I go home to my boyfriend, and pass out for several hours, Wake up, then go right back to sleep. I think last night, I fell asleep around 10 and didn’t wake up until 3 the next day. Maybe if I got out and actually did something, I’d be awake, but nope. This life chose me.

I am in serious need of a spa day.
