GET INSPIRED: CHRISTMAS FEELING

It’s the first Friday of December! I am changing things up a bit with a new design on the Friday inspiration post, what do you think? This time it is all about little festive items to get you in the Christmas mood. Everything is listed and linked below for you.

Happy Homes is a book series from Finland by Cozy Publishing, and this new edition is all about Finnish Christmas homes and traditions so perfect at this time of year. “In our country – the land of Father Christmas – we take the season really seriously but get playful with decorating. Escape with us and fall for the fragrance of cinnamon, gingerbread and the Christmas tree and the sound of children singing carols – Christmas is here!” Can be purchased through Finnish Design Shop.

A cute way to decorate for Christmas by Fröken Knopp.

I love it! This year ferm LIVING helps you create less waste for Christmas with two beautifully designed cotton bags which comes with all purchased. A great alternative to the traditional paper wrapping and the best part is that you can use it over and over again when Christmas is over.

Since we all eat so many oranges and mandarines during the festive season, why not make good use of the peel? Check out this fun wintry garland DIY by A Daily Something and get creative.

A little reminder from Desenio to practice hygge during the holidays. Hygge: an atmosphere of warmth, wellbeing and cosiness, when you feel at peace and able to enjoy simple pleasures and being in the moment. Just how I want Christmas to be!

Although my Christmas decor is stored away in boxes this year (because of the move) this is my absolute favorite piece and I might have to dive into the boxes to find it… If you didnt know, you can dress your Kay Bojesen monkey for Christmas with this cute painted Santa’s cap – sure to spread Christmas cheer among the whole family. Available from Skandium.

Jul is Scandinavian for ‘Christmas’ if you didn’t know. This candle by SKANDINAVISK has a richly spiced scent for the home with bold notes of baked gingerbread, melted honey, cloves, and warm gløgg.

The countdown has begun… Cute porcelain mini cup set from DESIGNLETTERS.

If you make one cake this season, make this winter Chocolate Peppermint cake. Inside a glittery exterior, rich chocolate cake layers are filled with a whipped white chocolate peppermint ganache before being frosting in a luscious vanilla bean buttercream… Yum. Find the recipe on Style Sweet CA.
