Hey guys!  Guess who's back!?

Me!  I've thought long and hard about blogging and the work/time involved in creating an interesting and fun blog!  I've been overwhelmed by the task and challenged by the task.  I love the community of fellow bloggers and readers.  I love the feedback.  I love how it opens up your little neck of the woods to something far bigger.  It connects you with like minded people.  People who get it.  People who understand why you painted your bathroom 6 times in the last two years! haha!

But I'm not naive to the time commitment that's involved in curating content, taking photos, creating projects, having a voice, posting, etc...etc...

So, after thinking about it for a year, I decided to dive back into it.  I knew there was a reason I never deleted this little blogger blog!

I look at the analytics of this starter blog that I created 6 years ago and am startled still at the amount of traffic it gets.  Thank you Pinterest.  I'm proud to say I've never spent a cent on this platform.  Never owned my domain, never advertised, never even graduated to Wordpress.  At the time, I started it as a fun hobby.  Never had a business plan in mind.  Just posted and posted.  It got traction right away.  Some bigger bloggers linked me and Pinterest played a big part.  Then, the Nate Berkus show contacted me and asked me to fly on out there and do a segment, plus feature my home!  It was crazy cool.  I was also a contributing blogger for Style At Home.

It quickly became a big job.  At the time I had a very busy photography business to run, plus my youngest was only 2 years old at the time.  So, slowly but surely, I couldn't keep up.

But now I've made the decision to move on.  Clean slate.

I'm not a fan of Blogger, as it doesn't provide the look I ultimately want to be connected with from here on out.  It's been an amazing starting point however.  I decided not to move to Wordpress.  I used them for my photography blog/website and I got tired of glitchy plug ins, updates, weird issues and endless coding.

So I'm moving to Squarespace!  I realize it's a clean slate and I'm missing out on bringing all of this content over, but I'm kind of ok with it!  A new beginning!

I'd love nothing more than if you would come check me out!  CLICK HERE!

It'll be similar to what I've done here.  Breezy, airy, beachy home inspo.  Affordable reno's.  Creative DIY's.  A little lifestyle, recipes, etc.

I've switched my name!  I loved the name Beach House in the City.  But at the end of the day, it was a bit limiting.  I love the feel of beach homes.  Always and forever.  I just didn't want my decor/design choices to be too restricted by that "theme."  I also want to offer E-DESIGN services, so felt a more simple, clean name was in order.

I have 3 kids and they're my driving force.  My 3 sails.

So there you have it!  Come visit me.  There's not much content on there now, but I'm working on it!!
