A few weeks ago our store manager, Emily, had the pleasure of attending the Smith Brothers biannual Open House Event.

She had an amazing time visiting with old friends and seeing firsthand the gorgeous new furniture coming to our showrooms.

Smith Brothers is located in Berne, Indiana and have been handcrafting fine furniture since 1926. Berne is a small town where the corn stocks outnumber the people by about 10,000 to 1!

Emily loves the town; a community with deep Swiss roots founded by the Swiss Mennonites in the mid 1800s. Kloter Farms has had the pleasure of partnering with Smith Brothers since 2009.

Each and every piece of Smith Brothers furniture is made to order. As you can imagine, that means there’s a lot of hustle and bustle going on in their factory.
In order to keep things running smoothly, they utilize a method of production called “Just in Time,” which means that all orders are promptly built and scheduled for delivery as they are ordered. What better way to ensure our customers get their much anticipated furniture as soon as possible!
