Antique Chandeliers

So what’s hot in lighting this year.

Well, Antique Chandeliers never go out of fashion but particular styles are more in demand at times than others.

At present, the style of antique lighting that is most in demand by Interior Designers and home interior lovers are the Maria Theresa Chandelier.

Maria Teresa chandeliers have very fine frames that are covered with glass.  The arms are often enhanced with delicate beading and are dressed with glass rosettes and draped with beaded crystal swags. These are then finished with either slab or pear drop crystals.

Maria Theresa Chandeliers tend to look slightly lighter, delicate and not as heavy as traditional Bronze or Gilt chandeliers.

These antique chandeliers work very well with current colour schemes such as various shades of grey or different combinations of white tones, plus as a dramatic offset for dramatic dark Farrow and Ball shades such as Down Pipe or Black blue etc. They simply add some relaxed sophistication to current interior design trends.
