As the mowing season progresses it is very important to properly service you mower. There are three areas to focus on when it comes to maintaining your Bad Boy. First, change the oil. Bad Boy recommends you change the engine oil on your Bad Boy Mower every 50 hours. Don’t forget to change the oil filter as well. Second, replace or clean spark plug(s). Many people like to change the plugs every year so you’re starting with new plugs. Last, replace or clean the air filter. If the filter is dirty, be aware of the filter material before you clean it. For instance, do not clean a paper filter with water. For paper filters it is best to use a high pressure air hose. For foam filters you will need to wash it in water and detergent solution and let it dry. When the foam filter is dry, apply a few drops of oil to it. Remember this, service parts are cheap compared to engine replacement. Don’t skimp on the service items and your mower will last many years.
