We get excited by architecture, but nothing gets our hearts pounding like Baby Lambs on the way. At about 10:00 o’clock last night, I noticed on our lamb cam that our ewe was about to give birth and let my wife know. That began a mad dash through the Snow up to our barn, which is about a hundred yards uphill from our house. Next, my son and oldest daughter ran up the hill with me trailing behind. Both lambs and the ewe were happy and healthy with a little assistance from the shepherdess, my wife.
Mo, our Bernese Mountain Dog, quickly went from a cute little puppy to a 90-pound lap dog that will not say no to a request for affection. She is keeping me and all the other dogs young, especially Oliver, our Border Collie.
Of course we have too many dogs, but in for a penny in for a pound.
