Florida Car Condos: Luxury Garages in the Sunshine State

In this article, we’ll be looking at every car condo and luxury automobile storage facility in Florida. 

The list is broken down by region. Within each region, the list is alphabetically ordered by city.

A few Florida car condo facilities don’t fit neatly into these categories. 

For example, I’ve included The Villages and Sebring in the Central Florida category. For the most part, however, if you’re familiar with Florida’s geography, this will make sense.

Central Florida Car Condos

For the most part, Central Florida Car Condos will focus on anything along the I-4 corridor between Tampa, Orlando, and Daytona Beach. To keep things simple, I’ve also included storage facilities at Sebring, next to the racetrack.

Circuit Florida: Auburndale, FL

Circuit Florida car condos are a luxury automotive country club and community with a private 1.7-mile track. There are 75 townhomes in studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom configurations. All condos are approved as residential use.

  1. Location: Located at 150 Raceway Drive, Auburndale, FL, it is about 45 minutes from both downtown Orlando and Tampa along Interstate 43.
  2. Sizes & Price Range: There are six floor plans (Monaco, Monza, Sebring, Sonoma, Daytona, and Le Mans), ranging from 838 sq. ft. to 2,688 sq. ft.. The starting price for a garage condo begins at just under $500K.
  3. Features & Options: Except for the Monaco floor plan, all units are sold as fully-finished, except for the only non-residential floorplan, the Monaco. Most garage condos come with the following features:

Hyde Park Storage Suites has two locations, Daytona Beach, FL and Cornelius, North Carolina. Founders Kevin Mahl and Jamie Rolewicz, were heavily involved in the NASCAR racing scene. Famous Garage condo owners include former NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace.

  1. Location: The garage condo facility is located at 3088 W International Speedway Blvd Ste 386, Daytona Beach, FL, 32124. It is across the highway from Daytona International Speedway and just six miles from the beach.
  2. Sizes & Price Range: The garage condos are available in several sizes ranging from 800 sq ft, (20 x 40) to 2,275 sq ft. (35 x 62). Each unit is designed primarily as storage space and is customizable for each owner.
  3. Features & Options: Each garage condo comes with the following features and options:

  2. Sizes & Price Range: The garage condos range in size from 675 square feet to 2,475 square feet. The starting prices for the units are $164,500 for the smallest size and $499,800 for the largest size.

Apex Motor Garages: Sebring, FL

Located right next to Sebring International Raceway, APEX Motor Garages and Townhomes offer the perfect place to relax after a day at the track. They offer garage condos or dedicated townhomes, both of which are zoned for overnight stays.

  1. Location: The facility is located at 1333 3rd Ave S, Naples, FL 34102, less than a mile from Sebring International Raceway.
  2. Sizes & Price Range: Apex Motor Garages have two sizes of Florida car condos: 25′ x 55’ (1,375 sq. ft.) and 30’ x 55’ (1,650 sq. ft.). Each has a terrace for additional living space. Prices start at $324,900. Apex Motor Townhomes are two-floor townhomes with 1,667 sq. ft. of living area above 1,800 sq. ft. of garage space.

  1. Location: The facility is located at 2051 Gandy Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33702.
  2. Sizes & Price Range: Motocave offers 43 units ranging from 918 to 1,440 square feet, including a standalone building of 922 square feet. Pricing has not been publicly announced.
  3. Features & Options: Some of the features and options that come with each car condo are:

    • Each unit features large roll-up doors and windows for natural light.
    • Concrete block walls and precast concrete roof structure
    • Customizable interior design and finishes

  4. What Makes It Special: Although there are similar facilities in Tampa, Motocave is the only car condo in St. Petersburg. It’s ideal for someone who’s into collecting cars, but needs more space. Some of the communal facilities and shared amenities that Motocave offers are:

  2. Sizes & Price Range: There are four sizes of individual car condos: 625 sq. ft., 1,000 sq. ft., 1,300 sq. ft., and 2,400 sq. ft.. Prices range from $300,000 to $3.8 million.
  3. Features & Options: Each garage condo comes with the following features and options:

    • Variety of garage sizes: 600 sq. ft., 625 sq. ft., 1,000 sq. ft., 1,300 sq. ft., and 2,400 sq. ft.

The Caves Auto Condos was started by Kevin Cloutier, a real estate agent in South Florida. They are constructing their second location near The Villages in Central Florida.

  1. Location: These Florida car condos are located in between The Villages and Lady Lake. They have another location at 4309 SW 9th Ave, Cape Coral, FL. Originally intended to be called “Man Caves of Cape Coral,” the business dropped the gender tag upon learning a woman would be its first buyer.
  2. Sizes & Price Range: The facility offers three types of units: Caves, Caverns, and Castles. The sizes, capacities, and price ranges of each type are as follows:
    • Caves: These are the smallest units, with depths ranging from 25 to 30 feet and widths varying. They can accommodate one to two cars depending on the size. The starting price for these units is $149,900.
    • Caverns: These are the medium-sized units, with depths ranging from 40 to 45 feet and widths varying. They can accommodate two to four cars depending on the size. The starting price for these units is $249,900.
    • Castles: These are the largest units, with depths ranging from 50 to 55 feet and widths varying. They can accommodate four to six cars depending on the size. The starting price for these units is $349,900.

Fortress Garage is one of the only North Florida car condos. Designed as a luxury storage center first, it still offers a unique owner’s atmosphere with events and club gatherings.
