Artificial living Walls

Why not improve the ambiance and décor of your home or workspace with a Demmerys artificial green wall. The options for creating bespoke green walls are endless with this product available in many different colours and sizes, with license to add artificial foliage and flowers to it also.

With a faux green wall, you can add life and vibrancy to both your interiors and exteriors so as to enthuse distant corners of a hotel lobby or to captivate people walking past a restaurant or bar for example.

So what is an Artificial Green Wall?

A green wall is a grid that has high end artificial foliage added to in order to completely cover the grid. If the home or workspace has a particular colour scheme then artificial flowers can be added to each panel, usually one metre square per panel, in order to enhance the colour scheme already adopted by property. Providing some colour and vibrancy, artificial tropical flowers for example make a brilliant  addition to any artificial living wall.

Added to this, all Demmerys fake green walls are fireproof and uv protected meaning they are safe to use in public spaces in the event of a fire and also will not fade in direct sunlight.

Another intruiging idea though is to create a faux green wall on the ceiling of your premises. Most people opt for wallspace for obvious reasons but recently, although not in a green wall, I decorated the roof space of The Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton which I hope you agree looks pretty good, https://demmerys.com/the-mount-hotel-wolverhampton

Benefits of faux green walls

The benefits are both simple and amazing.

  • Firstly, maintenance free is a huge plus. There is no need to ever water as opposed to having to do it daily.
  • No need for drainage for obvious reasons.
  • No need for sunlight
  • A green wall will never grow out of shape
  • You can move your green wall if need to do renovations to your property
  • It can be a very subtle way of creating a barrier or blocking an unsightly view
  • Improved ambience and noise control
  • After the initial outlay, your green wall will look amazing for years to come

Another bonus we have found and actively promote are the huge benefits to businesses a fake green wall will bring to your bar/restaurant, tea rooms etc. Social media is both huge and expensive to promote on a professional basis.

We recently installed a green wall on Broad st in Birmingham and added a swing in front of it. It is located in the entrance of the restaurant. The idea being that up to five hundred customers a night will walk past it during the busy weekend periods, nearly all having mobile phones and being social media savvy.

There is now a noticeable rise in social media awareness for the restaurant as each photograph is shared on all available social media platforms, this in turn is doing the marketing for the restaurant without any expenditure to themselves.

So what is the process now?

Usually, now you have decided you want an artificial living wall we will come out and meet you. We then brainstorm ideas such as which green wall you would like, whether we should add artificial flowers to it in keeping with your colour scheme, what you require in order to totally customise your preferred choice of wall, measure the space it is to be installed etc etc.

What I normally do then is take photographs of the chosen area and then back at my office I superimpose the artificial green wall onto that space giving you, the client, an rough idea of how your workspace or home is going to look after the job has been completed. Obviously it will look better than a mock up but you certainly will get the picture.

If required, I can also create bespoke artificial flower arrangements that will compliment your artificial living wall, so for instance if your preferred choice is a tropical flower wall I can handcraft a number of tropical arrangements to suit.

I then price the job and send everything over to you so you get an overall picture of costs, what it will look like and set up times and dates to suit both parties.

I hope this gives you an insight to the benefits of having a faux green wall and explains a little bit the processes involved and how it can be customised to suit your requirements.
