The camera slots seamlessly into your existing peephole in your door for a front-and-center, HD view of anyone who approaches.

The 4.3” mini monitor on the interior of the door is the perfect family-friendly solution for viewing who’s at the door. Anyone in the family, including the elderly or children, can use the included portable monitor to see who’s there! Those with mobile devices can also view livestream and playback footage from anywhere with the free LaView ONE App.

The rechargeable battery lasts up to 6 months, making this a truly wireless doorbell camera. It’s easy to install, easy to access and remains low-maintenance for your convenience.

Below is our easy step-by-step instructional video for installing the ONE Peek Peephole Doorbell Camera as well as written directions and tips for installation along the way!

Preparing to Install the ONE Peek Peephole – Wireless Doorbell Camera

*Pro Tip: Check the status of your door before anything. If you have a standard peephole, remove it using pliers.

From there, you’ll want to examine the inside of your peephole. They are often not perfectly round on the interior of the hole. This can inhibit the installation of the ONE Peek.

If needed, use a file or some other scraping tool to smooth out the interior of the hole.

If you do not have a peephole, use power tools to drill a hole that is 16mm (5/8in.) in diameter.

*Note: We highly recommend that you charge your ONE Peek before starting your installation.

Take that into consideration and give the camera some time to charge. It should come with around 50% charge to begin with, but this is not guaranteed.

You’ll want a nice full charge considering this is a fully wireless doorbell camera.

When you unbox the ONE Peek for the first time, you should find the following:

  • ONE Peek Monitor
  • ONE Peek Camera
  • Base
  • L-Shaped Bracket
  • Rectangular Fastener
  • A pack of 3 mounting screws (3 sizes)
  • USB Cable
  • Power Plug
  • ONE Peek Quick Start Guide
  • Warranty Card
  • LaView Anti-Theft Stickers

Start by choosing the appropriate screw in the provided pack. You determine this by measuring the thickness of your door. Here’s a quick guide:

Door Thickness

Recommended Screw

35mm – 60mm

Short Screw

61mm – 85mm

Medium Screw

86mm – 110mm

Long Screw

Generally, the average door is going to require the short crew, but don’t make any assumptions. Make sure to measure before the installation of your ONE Peek wireless doorbell camera.

From here, remove the protective tape from the back of the camera to reveal the adhesive strips.

Then, take the appropriate screw and finger-tighten it into the hole in the back of the stem that extends from the back of the camera.

*Note: Just finger tighten until the screw is secure. It should not be fully tightened at this point!

From the exterior of your door, feed the camera’s ribbon cable and the camera stem through the door. At this point, make sure the ONE Peek Peephole Camera is oriented correctly.

The large button with the bell icon should be toward the bottom of the unit and the “LaView” logo should be legible. If those two things don’t check out, your wireless doorbell camera is likely upside down!

When it is oriented correctly, push the camera unit in so that it’s flat back sits flush with your door. At this point, the adhesive strips will be touching your door to help keep the camera in place.

Connecting and Fastening the ONE Peek Peephole Camera – Wireless Doorbell Camera

On the interior of the door, take the black ribbon connector that you fed through the hole and connect the end of it to the bottom center of the base.

From there, attach the L-shaped bracket to the bottom of the base to enclose as well as secure that connection to the black ribbon connector. The L-shaped bracket should snap in when applied correctly.

After this, hang the base on the screw. Fit it through the larger side of the screw opening on the center of the base and slot it over to the small side before tightening.

Subsequently, you’ll want to gently fold the excess ribbon from the black ribbon connector into the rectangular space on the back of the base. Cover that space with the rectangular fastener. This piece should gently snap in when secured correctly.

Use a level to ensure your base is straight on the door and then tighten the screw until the entire bracket is securely fastened to the door with no movement.
