Small Business Security System – Get High Definition Coverage

Small Business Security System

Is Your Small Business at Risk?

An Update on Small Business Security

Earlier in the year, we wrote about how owners can benefit from a small business security system. We detailed how our product lines make the ideal surveillance systems for small to mid-sized businesses.

Arming your small business with a security Camera system can be the biggest investment in the safety of your property, your employees, your patrons and your merchandise. Gaining a view of overall operations as well as any aberrant activity can provide you with the information you need to improve your business, and in some cases, it can provide the evidence you need for the authorities.

For that reason, it is important to have high definition coverage of your commercial property. You need something that serves the surveillance needs of your space as well as provides you instant remote access to your livestream and playback video.

To 4K or to 4K? That is the Question!

The chart above compares two of our most sophisticated, top-of-the-line Ultra HD 4K systems. The first system (from left to right), our 16 Channel, 8 Bullet Camera Ultra HD 4K System, represents our best resolution option along with some of the best scalability among our systems. The second system is a new generation 8 Channel, 8 Bullet Camera Ultra HD 4K System with thermal PIR detection.

Let’s take a comparative look:

  • Both systems come with 8 bullet cameras, as well as Ultra HD 4K resolution.
  • System 1 features 16 channels, which leaves 8 channels free for expansion with any of our IP cameras. System 2 only has 8 channels, which are all used.
  • The first system has a traditional motion sensor, with customizable detection areas. The second system has PIR thermal sensors on the cameras to only pick up the motion of humans and animals with significant thermal signals. This reduces false alarms.
  • Both systems boast considerable IP weatherproof ratings, protecting them from the ingress of small particles and liquids. This makes them suitable in any weather. The first system does edge out the second system with a slightly higher waterproof rating.
  • System 1 edges out system 2 on storage with a 3TB built-in surveillance grade hard drive compared to the second system’s (still considerable) 2TB hard drive.

Making the Choice for Your Small Business Security System

The price is the big difference here. You have to consider what you are paying for. System 1 is a good amount more expensive, but you are gaining 8 more IP channels, 1TB more storage and a higher weatherproof rating. System 2 scales back in those areas to save you money, while adding sophisticated PIR thermal detection.

So, which system is right for your small business? Do you want upgraded features with extra PoE channels to expand in the future? Or do you want a slightly scaled back system with thermal cameras that will save you money? Its all about thinking about your layout, your needs and your budget. Both are great systems that will provide comprehensive small Business Security system coverage!

This Ultra HD 4K PIR + Strobe Light Bullet Kit may just be the alternative you need for your small business security system. If you didn’t the other systems to be suitable for your business, then you may want to consider this 4K security camera system.

This is similar to system 2 above, but it swaps out two of the regular PIR thermal cameras for Ultra HD 4K strobe light cameras. These use ultra-bright LED lights that flash on and off repetitively in conjunction with thermal motion alerts.

Strobe light technology acts as the perfect crime deterrent, drawing attention to the area and disorienting trespassers.

This comparison puts two of our best HD analog camera systems head to head to help you decide which is the best small business security system for you. These take a more economical standpoint while providing some of the best day and night coverage among any of our systems.

When compared straight across, we notice a few key things:

  • System 1 has 4 bullet cameras as well as HD 5MP resolution. Conversely, system 2 features 4 bullet cameras with Ultra HD 4K resolution instead.
  • Both systems have 8 channels, with 4 free channels that can accommodate any of our HD analog cameras. Simply connect them with consolidated BNC cabling.
  • System 1 and 2 both feature Sony Starlight Full Color Night Vision. This grants you full color access to your small business even in extreme low light conditions.
  • Each system features IP67 weatherproofing, which means the cameras are sealed against both small particles and liquids for guaranteed functionality in any weather.
  • The systems match up with the same amount of storage, at 1TB built-in surveillance-grade hard drive each.

Choosing an HD Analog Small Business Security System for You

The choice here is purely based on 1 main feature: resolution. With either option, you are saving a lot compared to many of the alternatives in our IP camera systems. You basically have to ask yourself if it is worth it to make the small price jump to 4K. This happens to be one of our best-priced 4K security camera systems.

If you choose to go with HD 5MP, you are still getting exceptional HD quality. Along with that, in both cases you are gaining Sony Starlight Full Color Night Vision. This color night imaging option allows you to see your property in full color at night.

Considering that you likely have valuable merchandise and/or equipment on your premises, having color night vision can prove crucial if you experience an after-hours burglary. Color HD footage proves to be a superior form of evidence for the authorities as tell-tale evidence can be found through hair color, clothing color or the color of the perpetrator’s car. Whichever you choose, HD analog has come a long way in providing a high-quality small business security system.
