We are a boutique Interior Styling company based in Sydney, working closely with individuals and businesses to create simple, timeless and unique design solutions that are both beautiful and functional.

Some more info about your recent Buraneer project with WOODCUT? What drew you to using our Pale Oak flooring?

Burraneer was a complete renovation of a beautiful family home nestled among the bays of the Sutherland Shire. Working alongside Ben Richardson Building, the most premium builder in The Shire, we worked over an almost twelve months period to completely transform both the interior and exterior.

We worked within the existing floor plan and renovated the kitchen, two bathrooms, added a stone clad fire place and custom joinery throughout and to finish it off, furnished the home from top to bottom.

The brief was Hamptons with a contemporary coastal feel, one of our favourites to date! When it came to selecting the flooring, we often select this first as it is so integral to the look and feel of the home.

The Pale Oak Flooring by Woodcut was the perfect tone to lay a neutral foundation to work with, we then build from the ground up in terms of finishes, fixtures and furniture / styling.

Where do you start when first planning a project?

We always start with meeting with the client and taking a thorough brief! Taking the time to truly understand our clients wants, needs, vision and how they see themselves living in their spaces is key to a successful and beautiful end result. We then put together a concept. This is something that we can always refer back to when making key design decisions, to justify our choices and ensure a consistent interior style.

What is your top ‘savey’ tip with styling interiors?

From our point of view, we like to look at interiors as long term investments. We prefer to lay a neutral foundation with timeless, good quality furniture pieces that will withstand the test of time. Therefore, by investing initially, you will save money in the long term!

What are your favourite types of homes to design/ style?

Hamptons / Coastal style new builds or renovations perfectly align with The Stables aesthetic and that is where our hearts lie!
