This year, Houston Halloween revelers will have no shortage of options. As is always the case for any holiday in H-Town, the city is chock-full of events for all ages and preferences. Here are a few of our picks for the best of the best.

Spirits & Skeletons

The Houston Museum of Natural Sciences

October 29, 8:00 p.m. – midnight

This is one of Houston’s favorite Halloween parties, taking over the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. Come get your groove on with the museum’s Halloween collection of mummies, ghosts, ghouls and witches. You’ll have a chance to party with the museum’s famous Stegosaurus. You’ll be able to enjoy delicious cocktails and live music from the Space Rockers, as well some of Houston’s best DJs.

Outside the museum, an assortment of some of the most acclaimed food trucks in town will be standing by, serving some of the best grub this side of the Gulf. This year’s food truck lineup will include Nom Mi Street, It’s a Wrap, Pho-Jita, Happy Endings and one of our favorites, The Waffle Bus. So break out your finest Halloween threads and get ready to get funky at the Houston Museum this year.

Everyone knows Houston has one of the best bar scenes in the country. Check out the Halloween pub-crawl to sample some of the bars in the city. You’ll be joined by a rollicking and eclectic crew of like-minded people as you shuttle around town enjoying some frothy beverages and signature cocktails served up by some of Houston’s most noteworthy mixologists. They’ll be creating some special spooky brews just for this one night only Halloween experience. The first stop will be the Midtown Drinkery. Just watch out for all of those boozy zombies after midnight!

The Woodlands Children’s museum

October 31, 4-8pm

If you’re looking for something designed exclusively for the kiddos, head over to the Woodlands Children’s Museum for their annual Halloween Event. The museum will be closed during the day to get prepare, but doors open for the “Spooktacular” at 4pm for children seven and younger as well as their parents. Your little guys and gals will have a blast with all sorts of Halloween craft projects, monsters, as well as “Dr. J’s Exploding Pumpkins”. Fun! Hocus Pocus Pops with the Houston Symphony

The HSO, one of the best Symphonies in the world, will let its hair down for this one- night only celebration of some of the most haunting horror movie themes. Bring the whole family, in their favorite costumes, of course, to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion from some frightening symphonic sounds!
