Just Another Day
When the news broke about the Teacher "kidnapping" (using quotes to mean take/invite/traffic/run away with - I learned this from Trump that "" has a multitude of meanings) last week, I shrugged.  I live in Tennessee and the last year I have heard of the Teacher who was fucking kids while her  assigned Student Teacher was utterly oblivious but never spoken to or asked any questions about her observations during the "investigation" (note quotes); the Teacher who was fired from one district employed in Nashville Public Schools who filmed grade school girls in a closet changing space: a Teacher aide who had a kid in trunk; a Teacher who had a gun at school; a Teacher who slammed a door on a kid's hand.  Name something I have heard of it.

I live in God FEARING country.  To understand this I actually watched 20 minutes of the talking preacher shows on Sunday that they literally cut Meet the Press off 30 minutes early in order to make sure we get our Jesus on.  The topic was discipline.  I won't bother repeating this bullshit but basically it was tacit permission to beat your kids. Good times.  I learned that we must embrace God's punishment, not fear it nor ignore it but acknowledge it.  It almost came across that God is a Dominatrix and for $250 we can scream yes and until our safe word Jesus stops the pain.  Okay then.

I am not yet bored of the hypocrisy or bullshit because for $20 I saw the Nashville Symphony perform an original work written by an acclaimed member as well as Ravel's  Bolero which utterly dispelled my memories of Dudley Moore and the Movie "10."

But a few hours rarely dispels my overall frownie face when I turn on the news that is obsessed with crime and disaster.  We leave facts for the fake news.  And this story has been front and center of local coverage and now gone national.  Something tells me if this was a black dude and black kid no one would care but this is again a white kid and white dude.  Much like the pretty Nurse who lived a 1/4 mile from me whose killing made the national news but the black gay/transgendered murder not so much.  And yet they were both stabbed to death!

I was chatting with my seat mate at the Symphony and said that when people ask me why I moved to Nashville I am going to say "Jesus took the Cockpit and brought me here."  I am sick of that question.. it is medical tourism like that is something I am going to tell a stranger.

This story bores me.  A troubled neglected girl, a Teacher who loves the Jesus (by the way half of these men strike me as raging Queens without the ability to have toilet to use as we don't want that here!) and wants to fuck a 15 year old.  Isn't that the belief that all men want baby pussy? That thought/belief fuels this whole notion of human trafficking that men are raging child molesters.   This man clearly is a fucked up hot mess and the district covered it up for weeks.  Well we know how they "investigate" shit here.  (always use air quotes) What.ever. Decriminalize prostitution and that will stop all of this.    He could have gotten a nice hooker, had her beat the shit out of him, he scream his safe word and this might not have happened.

Jesus it is time for you to take the wheel

Manhunt intensifies for Tenn. teacher and ‘troubled’ 15-year-old he’s accused of abducting

Tad Cummins handed over the title of his SUV, put up some other personal effects and walked out of the loan office with $4,500 in cash.

The 50-year-old high school health teacher was on the verge of losing his job and his freedom after he’d been spotted kissing a 15-year-old student, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The ensuing criminal investigation was swirling, and authorities believe Cummins, armed with two handguns, had little left to lose.

The $4,500, investigators believe, has helped the pair elude authorities during a week-long manhunt that has consumed the state of Tennessee and made national headlines. TBI investigators believe Cummins may have planned to abduct Elizabeth Thomas well before he picked her up at a Shoney’s restaurant in Columbia, Tenn.

Elizabeth had a “troubled life,” authorities said. Her mother is facing felony child abuse charges, District Attorney Brent Cooper told Reuters. Cummins had been the teen’s health teacher.

“Investigative efforts have revealed a troubling pattern of behavior by Tad Cummins, suggesting the 50-year-old may have been abusing his role as a teacher to groom this vulnerable young girl for some time in an effort to lure and potentially sexually exploit her,” the TBI said in a statewide Amber Alert.

On March 13, video surveillance at a Columbia gas station showed Cummins filling up his silver Nissan Rogue. A short time later, investigators say, he drove to the Shoney’s restaurant, where Elizabeth had been dropped off by a friend and was waiting. Investigators think he manipulated her into coming, but he wasn’t authorized to take a minor and she wasn’t old enough to consent. That afternoon, investigators say, they determined Thomas was 80 miles away in Decatur, Ala.

Then, nothing. Investigators say they have received 250 tips from 24 states, but not enough information to tighten the dragnet despite a multi-state manhunt and Cummins’s addition to Tennessee’s most wanted list.

In a news release, the TBI said Cummins may be keeping Elizabeth out of sight of authorities, possibly sleeping in his car or in a rural community.

On Monday, the TBI released new images of Cummins, in an effort to keep the case in the spotlight. The pictures are from a week before Cummins and Elizabeth disappeared, and show him wearing a camouflage cap and pushing a shopping cart at a store.

Cummins is white, with brown hair and eyes, stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. Authorities believe he’s armed and driving a silver Nissan Rogue with Tennessee tag 976-ZPT. The man and the teen might have dyed their hair or otherwise changed their appearances.

Cummins has been charged with sexual contact with a minor and aggravated kidnapping.

The crimes he’s accused of contrast greatly with the portrait he’d painted on social media of a God-fearing husband and grandfather.

His twitter biography describes him as a “Jesus freak/child of The King” and a “warrior-poet” who plays drums. He retweeted quotes about his Christian faith and snapped photos of students and teachers donating blood.

Last week, Cummins’s wife Jill went on TV and pleaded for her husband to turn himself in.

“Tad, this is not you. This is not who you are. We can help you get through this. I had no idea my husband was involved in any of this,” she said, according to the Tennessean.

“Your family wants their Poppy back. Please do the right thing and turn yourself into the police and bring Beth back home.”
