Human hair to produce cathodes for solar cells, is now possible by Kolkatta researchers at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER). The cleaned and dry human hair treated with sulphuric acid at 165 degrees C for 25 minutes achieve precarbonisation. It was then heated to different temperatures in the presence of an inert gas for six hours to carbonise and bring better electrical conductivity for efficient charge transfer yielding easy conversion of solar energy to electrical energy and also replacing the existing metal cathodes.. No wonder these ‘green’ cathodes have the potential to bring down the cost of solar cells.

  • Frasier = "The Gossip Machine" (Hungary)
  • Six Feet Under = "The Customer is always Dead" (Russia)
