Easy-to-Make Bakery-Style Chocolate Chip Muffins

I love baking and eating pastries, and one of our family’s favorite recipes is this one by The Anthony Kitchen on YouTube! It’s so good and easy to make, and you can fill it with chocolate chips, nuts, fruits, and any other filling that you want, and I guarantee you it will taste absolutely delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 2½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • ½ tsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of fine sea salt
  • ¾ tsp of ground cinnamon, optional
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1¼ cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of low-fat buttermilk
  • 1¼ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Additional (optional)

  • 1/3cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp of ground cinnamon

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F, then line a muffin tin with muffin liners, and grease it with a nonstick cooking spray. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, and ground cinnamon, then whisk them together to combine, and set them aside. In another bowl, beat together the butter and sugar for about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy, and add in the eggs one at a time making sure to beat them well in between each addition. Add the vanilla extract, then give them a good stir, add in the flour mixture in 3 batches alternating with the buttermilk, and mix them together with a hand mixer at a low speed until incorporated.

Step 2

Add the chocolate chunks, then gently fold them until evenly distributed, and transfer the batter evenly to the muffin liners. Sprinkle a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon on top of the batter if desired, then place them in the preheated oven, and allow them to bake for about 5 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°F, then allow them to bake for an additional 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean and they are golden brown. Let them cool down for about 10 minutes, then serve, and enjoy!
