We can all agree that cooking is now easier than ever, especially since you can find lots of recipes and tutorials online to help you come up with dishes to serve to the table. One of my go-to websites or apps is TikTok, and recently, this recipe by jlodonohue has been receiving lots of love from the community because of how easy, convenient, and loaded with deliciousness this casserole is. So, I gave it a try and it was definitely worth it, you should check this out, too, and see for yourself!

Ingredients:

• Ground beef
• Wide egg noodles
• 1 can of tomato sauce
• Crushed red pepper flakes
• Salt
• Black pepper
• 1 (16-ounce) tub of sour cream
• 1 (16-ounce) tub of cottage cheese
• 1 tbsp of minced garlic, heaping
• Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• Shredded mozzarella cheese
• Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Step 1

Place a skillet or nonstick pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the ground beef, and cook them until nice and brown. While cooking the meat, bring a pot of water to a boil, then sprinkle some salt before adding the egg noodles, and cook them according to the package instructions. Once the ground beef is nicely cooked, drain off any grease, then add some crushed pepper flakes, and add the tomato sauce as well.

Step 2

Season them with salt and pepper to taste, then stir them all together until nice and combined, and then turn off the heat. Check if the egg noodles are cooked, then drain off all the water, and transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Add in the sour cream and cottage cheese, then season them with lots of black pepper, and add the minced garlic. Mix them all together until well combined, then add half a portion to a 9×13-inch baking dish, and spread them evenly.

Step 3

Add a layer of meat sauce all over the top evenly, then sprinkle lots of shredded sharp cheddar cheese until nicely coated, and repeat the layers until you’ve used up all of the ingredients. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese all over the final top layer, then place the baking dish to a preheated oven at 350°F, and allow it to bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is nicely browned and melted. Serve and enjoy!
