Apatite: Origin, Meaning, and Energy

Apatite was first discovered in 1786 by A.G. Werner. It’s name came from the Greek word Meaning “to deceive”, because many mistaken it for other minerals such as peridot.

Apatite deposit are mostly found in Kirovsk, Russia but can also be found in Brazil, Madagascar, and even Mexico.

The primary use of apatite is as a source of phosphate in the manufacturing of fertilizer. But metaphysically, apatite can serve in many different ways.

Known as a stone of transformation, apatite is often used during meditation to help open the third eye. This will help enhance insight, allowing for self-reflection and inner clarity.

Carrying apatite will help with opening the throat chakra enhancing communication of all types, including higher levels of spiritual guidance.
