The Love Island villa sprung into action on Monday evening as the islanders turned their charm on and questioned whether they could be swayed from their current couples.

All eyes were on Tom Clare as he was in popular demand, with Olivia Hawkins, Ellie Spence and new bombshell Samie Elishi all hoping to get to know him better.

The footballer kept his options open as he had a VERY flirty chat with Ellie, before news of their secret kiss spread through the villa like wildfire – leaving fellow islanders gobsmacked.

While Samie had also made quite a mark on the South African villa, as she had both Kai Fagan and Ron Hall questioning their current relationships, to the dismay of their respective partners.

As viewers were left on a massive cliff-hanger at the end of the episode, MailOnline takes a look back at Monday’s show and is here to answer all your questions about what’s going on in the villa…

 TOM’S IN HIGH DEMAND

He only just called time on his romance with Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown.

But newly-single Tom had plenty of options as he turned on the charm during Monday’s episode, with not one, not two, but three girls all vying for his affections.

Ellie made no secret of her attraction towards Tom, after the pair shared a kiss the evening before.

And hoping to continue things were they left off as she hinted for the footballer to join her on the terrace, before they enjoyed a steamy chat.

Hinting at her hopes for some bedroom action, the blonde told Tom: ‘I was actually thinking last night, I would love to share a bed with you, have a little cuddle.

‘We would have to sleep downstairs though, because we would be too loud in a shared room. It would get heated.’

While Tom was left slightly red-faced as he kept his sunglasses on and giggled during the chat.

But many fans weren’t impressed with the suggestive exchange, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts that Ellie’s efforts were ‘desperate’ as they predicted that the hunk wasn’t as interested as her.

While they could have been right, as Tom also admitted that there was still a connection with former flame Olivia.

Pulling her for a chat after the conversation with Ellie, he told the actress: ‘We flirt but, I think that’s as far as it goes [with Ellie]. The girls I want to get to know the most are you and Samie’.

While Olivia is keen to get to know Tom again too, but admitted to the girls that she wants to see more effort from him.

But the hunk’s effort is being split between three, as he is also growing close to new girl Samie, admitting that he is physically attracted to her and wants to know more.

Pulling Tom first, Samie says: ‘Initial attraction, I’m probably most attracted to you looks wise but I also like that you’re quite cheeky.’

Tom smiled as he asked: ‘Am I up there for you?’

Samie laughed and replied: ‘You are, you’re up there but other people are up there too, I don’t give everything away…’

Tom then told her: ‘I can’t lie, I do fancy you.’

GOSSIP SPREADS THROUGH THE VILLA AS WILL SPILLS THE BEANS 

The rumour mill was rife on Monday evening as Will Young struggled to keep quiet after being confided in by Ellie.

As the pair enjoyed a debrief on their romantic connections, Ellie admitted that she and Tom had shared a secret kiss on the balcony the night before, unbeknownst to the other islanders.

A shocked Will couldn’t believe it as he attempted to keep the news to himself, before taking Jessie Wynter, Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhega for a chat later that evening.

Getting the news off of his chest, Will told the group: ‘I have had a lot on my mind today. I got told a little bit of information and I don’t know what to do with it.’ 

Tanya then asked: ‘What was that?’

Will replied: ‘So basically, Ellie pulled me today and said yesterday that she kissed Tom out on the terrace.’ 

Tanya and Jessie then gasped in shock as Will said: ‘Don’t make it a big deal.’

A totally bemused Shaq then said: ‘Wait, hold on, hold on. What?’ to which Jessie said: ‘We better duck for cover…’ as they sat on the terrace.

Following the chat, Tanya couldn’t hold in the gossip as she quickly pulled Zara for a chat and asked her to promise to keep it private if she let her in on the secret. 

Tanya told Zara: ‘Ellie confided in Will. He said, ‘Ellie kissed Tom on the f**king terrace.’ And no on knows.’

A shocked Zara asked: ‘When?!’ She continued: ‘When I say he’s a busy boy, yeah…’

Unable to contain herself, Tanya giggled: ‘What a little player! It gets worse. After that kiss, Tom came down and said to Shaq, ‘Oh yeah…’ He was like, ‘Come on, bro. What happened?’

‘And he was like, ‘Oh nothing. She is flirty though.’ He didn’t even tell the boys. That’s why I’m thinking Tom is sneaky. He’s not just a nice guy anymore.

‘He’s dangling Ellie. Ellie’s into Tom. And we all thought he was so… I’m going to make myself calm. You need it as well, so just wait with me.

Zara asked: ‘So Ellie told Will?’ To which Tanya replied: ‘Ellie told Will, yeah. So I was like, ‘You need to tell Ellie to tell Olivia.” Zara hit back: ‘Yeah, that needs to come from her. If not, I’m going to tell Liv. I’m going to tell Ellie that I know.’

Clearly feeling awkward, Tanya said: ‘Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, not yet. Wait to Will comes back.’

Zara responded: ‘How can I sit on this bad boy piece of information?’

A desperate Tanya said: ‘No, but I told you I wasn’t going to keep it in.’

However, a defiant Zara protested: ‘I’m telling Liv, I’m telling Liv. This girl needs to know. Girl power, man!’

The episode then ended on a cliffhanger as Zara told Olivia there was something she had to know, with the latter’s confused facial expression rounding off the show.

SAMIE TURNS KAI AND RON’S HEADS – AND HAS LANA FINALLY HAD ENOUGH? 

New girl Samie has certainly fulfilled the bombshell job description, sending the boys into a spin.

Despite Ron claiming to be comitted to Lana in previous episodes, after having his head turned by both Ellie and Zara in the past, the Financial Advisor appears to once again have a wandering eye.

Admitting that Samie was his ‘perfect woman’, Ron shared that he usually goes for girls who look like her outside of the villa – while Samie admitted that the feeling is mutual.

And as he caught up with Lana, the Essex boy told his romantic interest that he finds Samie attractive as he left her wondering where she stood.

After a catch up with Aaron and Tanyel, Lana was reminded of her worth as she declared: ‘I’m a good looking girl, I can get any man I want’.

The blonde beauty appeared sick of Ron exploring other options as she said in the beach hut: ‘How many red flags can you ignore?’

While Ron appeared to have little loyalties to her as he said it was like they were ‘just texting’, quipping: ‘We’re not together, I don’t love her’.

But Samie had also caught Kai’s attention, despite the teacher currently being coupled up with Tanyel.

As the boys get ready for the evening, it seems Kai has a plan up his sleeve as he tells Ron he wants to get to know Samie: ‘I’m literally going to stick it on her.’

While he later tells the new girl: ‘Just off initial vibes, you’re the sort of girl that I’d go for.’

Samie suggests: ‘So you’d be a fool to not chat me up…’

Kai responds: ‘Yeah and obviously Tanyel might not like it, me and Tanyel have been good but now you’re in here I want to get to know you.’

Tanyel wasn’t impressed with Kai’s behaviour as she admitted that if he went for Samie, it would show her his true colours.
