The Top Five Kitchen Issues and How to Solve Them

The Kitchen is one of the rooms or area in the house which needs a lot of planning to bring it together and after which to maintain it that way. You will face end number of problems when it comes to the kitchen. So to prepare you from the start we did researches and jotted down top 5 kitchen issues and how you can solve them, if you will know these issues beforehand you can be prepared with the solutions given by us.

So here are the top five kitchen issues and how to solve them –

1. No space but a lot of stuff

For the most part, there is already insufficient counter space in our kitchens. Not to panic; there is always room to make the most of what is already available. Multi-tasking is the best way to get full optimization out of your kitchen.

Solution for this problem – Depending on the size of your kitchen, you can choose from a choice of modular components that come in different sizes. If you only have a little amount of prep space, a pull-out cutting board can be the answer. Compared to bulky, standalone appliances, sleek built-in appliances are not only stunning to look at but also make maintenance simple and expand the amount of room in the kitchen.

If your kitchen layout allows, installing an island counter can provide a lot of storage space beneath the countertop and serve as a dining table for meals in open kitchen designs. Even in classic kitchens, islands are a fantastic addition. Your current counter’s storage space can be maximised by adding a narrow counter as an extension. If there isn’t enough room for a kitchen island, this alternative may also be viable.

2. Unorganized kitchen

Every kitchen has the potential to be both messy and orderly. Everything about that is dependent on how you set it up.

You can help yourself by using a tiny movable table or trolley to hold the large and little objects that typically take up the entire counter space. It can be used to hold kitchen items and moved around as needed for easy access.

A pantry is the best organizer available. To organize store a range of items, you can create your own multi-utility cabinet or full wall cabinet. Otherwise, purchase a tall modular unit and arrange it as necessary. You can store anything, even packaged foods and glassware.

3. No prior planning for storage

Lack of storage is another prevalent issue in the kitchen. But keep in mind that there are other places besides cabinets, drawers, and cupboards where you can store items.

Ladles, spatulas, tongs, knives, etc., and other smaller utensils can be effectively suspended and stored on the wall between the counter and overhead cabinets using magnets, rods, or pegs. To keep spices and often-used ingredients, you may also install small shelves.

By extending or adding new cabinets overhead, you can make room in the “work” zone for the excess and seldom-used tools and appliances.

4. How to tackle the odour

Our kitchen does occasionally wind up smelling bad. The leftover oil from yesterday night’s dinner, the wetness in the basin, or the trash that is still giving off a foul odour could be the causes.

Ensure that the kitchen has adequate ventilation. Thoroughly clean the inside of appliances and the countertops; leftover spices and concealed decomposing waste items exacerbate the odour.

Coffee grounds, charcoal, and baking soda are excellent odour absorbers. Maintain a few in visible boxes about the kitchen. To get rid of the “wet” odour, sprinkling baking soda in the sink will help. If the issue is the smell of smoke or burnt food, use vinegar in the same manner.

5. Insects  and pests

Are ants and flies causing havoc in your kitchen? Fear not; everyone has encountered this issue at some point in their lives. Flies and mosquitoes can be gotten away of by frequently lighting camphor.

Plants with insect-repelling qualities and those may be grown indoors to some extent include basil, lemon thyme, lavender, mint, and others.

However, if the infestation is severe, you might think about hiring a pest control specialist.

Here were some of the top problems and their solutions in the kitchen.
