According to a new list, the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich may just be one of the best spots in the world to take your sweetie.   It was recently listed as one of Architectural Digest’s “13 Romantic Getaways for Valentine’s Day and Beyond”. According to the website, a surprise trip is a great way to say, “I love you”, so it created a list of what it deems some of the most romantic getaways in the US and beyond. The website listed just seven domestic locations. They included spots in Colorado, Minnesota, Upstate New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The list also included Wequassett Resort. The website pointed out it has ocean views and a sand beach, plus also a swimming pool and hot tub, too. The resort was also hailed for its roomy guest rooms and its fantastic service. The publication even pointed out the resort’s special Valentine’s Day tasting menu, among other offerings, such as clamming tours, bayside yoga classes, and fireplace movies. Originally founded in the mid 1920s, the hotel’s own website points out it is Cape Cod’s only Forbes Five Star resort. Visitors can choose from a cozy cottage, a garden villa room, or a suite, with views overlooking the gardens and lawns or even the water. For those who’d rather just get attention from their sweetie this Valentine’s Day, the resort has 24-hour room service and chocolate on the dessert menu. When you’re ready to explore the rest of the resort, there’s a beachfront bar, plus a signature restaurant with fresh seafood. The ranking from Architectural Digest also mentioned six locations overseas, including spots in Spain, England, Paris, Italy, and Mexico.
