Unsafe Electrical wiring is a safety hazard that can lead to fire or electrocution. To ensure the safety of residents, numerous Illinois communities require electrical inspections. Rob Gisch of Detailed Inspection Service is a certified electrical inspector and can conduct the required inspections.
Home electrical fires account for nearly 51,000 fires every year, and the Electrical Safety Foundation International reports those fires cause $1.3 billion in property damage.
In fact, electrical distribution systems are the third leading cause of home structure fires, resulting in more than 500 deaths every year.
Inspections Required by Muncipalities
To prevent fatalities, injuries, or property damage, municipalities frequently require electrical inspections to enforce the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment.
Electrical inspections are to ensure newly built or remodeled projects meet municipal building department electrical code requirements.
In many communities, a construction project must pass an electrical inspection before an occupancy permit will be issued.
To ensure the safety of their residents, city officials want to rely on knowledgeable and experienced electrical inspectors.
