Frequently Asked Questins

How to make a natural poison ivy killer spray?

If the chemical sprays we listed above aren’t what you are looking for, it’s fairly easy to make a natural solution, but it will not be as effective.

Add a tablespoon of dish soap, one cup of salt, and gallon of water together. Stir the solution until mixed and add to your sprayer of choice. This solution is effective, but it requires multiple treatments, and might not work against tough and overgrown options.

Additionally, you can spray distilled white vinegar, which will also require multiple treatments. Although these sprays are natural, you should still be careful when spraying as it will kill neighboring plants.

What’s better: natural vs chemical poison ivy killers?

This really comes down to your personal preference. Chemical options are obviously more potent, work faster, and last longer. However, natural options do work, they just require more treatment and might require you to dig up the plant to prevent it from coming back.
