Keeping Humphrey Cool & Calm With The Missing Link

It’s no secret that most rescue dogs have their own set of traumas from previous owners. Although I got Humphrey from The Humane Society when he was 4 months old, he was already a nervous and somewhat skittish puppy. Now at six, he’s relatively well adjusted, but still a pretty anxious dog. Thankfully, since I started giving him , I’ve noticed that he’s a lot less tense, especially when it comes to loud noises.

I know the thought of collagen for dogs might come as a surprise, but in fact, dogs need collagen! It’s a main source of protein throughout their bodies, and as they age, they start to lose the ability to create more collagen- which is why giving them a collagen supplement is so important.

The reason I love these specific collagen Chews for Calm and focus is because they’re full of nutrients that relax Humphrey without making him sluggish or tired. The effects of the chamomile in them are two-fold: it provides him with a sense of relaxation while also making him mentally alert. The chews are also non-gmo and they contain probiotics, which help soothe any occasional stomach discomfort he may have from time to time. He loves the taste of them too!

I typically give him two chews a day, but when I take him to the vet or on long car rides, I give him three. Three keeps him calm and takes away the panic he typically feels in high stress situations. I plan on using them when New Year’s Eve rolls around to keep him calm during the fireworks. If you have a dog, you now how stressful the sound of fireworks can be for your furbaby. With these collagen chews you can provide them with anxiety relief on such a hectic night.

You know I’m a huge fan of The Missing Link brand and these new collagen chews are my favorite thing from their product line! Get yours here today. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
