Old Naples Offers a Walkable Lifestyle

If you’re hoping for a location that blends city life with beach life, you can’t go wrong with Old Naples. This part of the city offers a walkable lifestyle, where you can easily take a stroll to one of the local boutique shops, or take a stroll along the city’s oldest structure, Naples Pier. It sits within another short walk of the city’s oldest home, Palm Cottage. If you enjoy shopping, you can’t go wrong with taking a walk along popular 5th Avenue South or even Third Street. You could also head over to Tin City. In addition, there’s a weekly farmer’s market in Old Naples, plus you’ll likely come across one of the frequent art shows that pop up in this part of the city. In fact, there are several galleries to explore in Old Naples, too. If you want to get in some additional outdoor recreation, why not take a stroll over to Cambier Park for a game of basketball, bocce ball or tennis? There’s even a playground for younger kids at the park. As the day turns to night, it’s easy to take in a spectacular sunset, because every avenue in Old Naples ends with beach access. From condos to beach cottages and mansions, the exclusivity of living here is also a draw, because Old Naples is indisputably one of the most affluent. While housing may come at a premium, it’s easy to see what else makes Old Naples so popular, especially with so much to do, see and explore. That’s perhaps backed up by new data from the National Association of Realtors, which shows walkability is indeed a real draw for many prospective homebuyers. A new, NAR survey found most respondents were willing to pay more for a home in a walkable community, and that’s especially true among young adults.
