Naples may not be known as being especially walkable, but there are several good neighborhoods in the city that also happen to have the advantage of sitting within walking distance of area attractions. Some of our favorites sit close to what most people need and want living in the city, and walkability is seen an advantage by many homebuyers.  Old Naples Old Naples offers easy access to shops, restaurants, and area beaches. While it certainly doesn’t hurt that you can live within an easy stroll of the white sand and Naples Pier, you don’t live very far away from shopping or dining, either. This is a great place to live if you want to take advantage of Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South.  Aqualane Shores The single-family community of Aqualane Shores is another good option. It’s also close to both shopping and dining districts, as well as the sand and water. When you’re not out walking where you want to go, you can easily hop in your boat or sailboat with access on to the Gulf of Mexico, as Aqualane Shores has deep-water canals.  Port Royal There’s also the option of Port Royal. Many of the homes in this neighborhood are on the beach and offer great boating access via large canals. The neighborhood’s also very close to Third Street. The Moorings Yet another great option for a walkable community is The Moorings. Close to Fifth Avenue and Third Street, you can often walk to where you want to go in this part of Naples. Just a couple of minutes from downtown, The Moorings is known to offer community-wide events, too. Coquina Sands Coquina Sands, meanwhile, sits within walking distance of local parks and the beach. This is a popular area for those interested in a boating lifestyle, too. The Coquina Sands community also happens to sit close to The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.
